HALIFAX – DHX Media Ltd. says it has been experiencing strong revenue growth nevertheless its second-quarter profit margin what food was in the lower end of management expectations.
The Halifax-based company – which operates several specialty Television stations but primarily creates and distributes Television programs for children and youth – says its revenue within the second quarter was $81.5 million, up 27 % around earlier.
Gross margin increased by 18 per cent to $44.29 million, or 54 per cent of revenue, just as one unexpectedly high proportion of distribution revenue originated in newer library titles as well as an abnormally large number of live action shows.
