The trendy and hotly competitive online mattress industry – yes, you read that correctly – is all about to get even hotter, with retailer Leesa announcing its mattresses are now obtainable in Canada.
Leesa joins competitors for example Casper and Toronto-based Endy Sleep in offering foam mattresses to Canadians by mail. By making the mattresses available online only and getting rid of expensive showrooms, the businesses are able to offer many in a significant discount.

The Virginia-based company makes nearly US$30 million in sales, using its mattresses previously available on the web in the U.S. and U.K. Leesa is providing free shipping; a 100-day trial, allowing people to send the mattress back for any 100 % refund if they don’t like it; along with a $150 discount to Canadians throughout the month of February.
In July, Leesa announced it had raised US$9 million in a Series A funding round led by the private equity firm TitleCard Capital, putting the company’s valuation at US$45 million.
